SSL VPN for remote users (Video)

Watch more videos

In this video, you will learn how to configure SSL VPN for a remote worker to connect to a FortiGate-protected network, and enforce your security policies.

When the remote worker works at home, or on their travels, they can go to the web portal using any device with Internet access and FortiClient. The SSL VPN tunnel provides an encrypted communication path for them to connect to internal network connections and protected Internet access.

The recipe for this video is available here.

Why to downloand forticlient and connect to it. We can skip that step and directly hit the connect to get connected to the internal network. Why to connect to forticlient and tunnel mode connect option both?

  • Hi Nishit, you are correct, you don’t need both methods. You can connect using whichever method you prefer, either tunnel mode in the web browser or FortiClient. In our videos we try to showcase all of the available methods for connection, which is why both are shown above.
