A site-to-site VPN allows two networks that are each behind a VPN gateway (for example, a FortiGate unit), to establish secure connections with each other over a public network, typically the Internet.
Site-to-site VPNs most often use IPsec and can be established between two FortiGates, or between a FortiGate and any other IPsec VPN gateway, such as a Cisco ASA or Microsoft Azure.
