A captive portal is an authentication page that appears when your FortiGate receives an HTTP request from an unauthenticated user. After authentication, users can access resources, as permitted by security policies.

There are four types of captive portals: Authentication, Disclaimer Only, Disclaimer + Authentication, and Email Collection.
